Biography for Dianne Evans Roth

Hi to the Class of 1957,

Has it really been 50 years?  It doesn’t seem that long ago since we had torrential rain that cancelled the senior picnic and Pecan Bayou was protected by sandbags so water wouldn’t flood the highway.  Gratefully, the weather improved the night of the senior prom and also for our graduation ceremony.  As we sang, “It’s a Big, Wide, Wonderful World” at graduation, I felt sadness at leaving B.H.S. combined with excitement for what the future would hold.  Perhaps many of you experienced the same mixed emotions.

I have lived in Northern California almost 34 years and have two stepdaughters and 2 granddaughters.  My husband, who will probably never fully retire, still consults to computer software companies.  Some activities I enjoy are to giggle with friends, read, garden, take yoga and African dance classes and volunteer at the hospital.  I had hoped after 50 years I would be able to tell you about all of my accomplishments but there are no biggies to report.

I am grateful for all of the many blessings in my life and one of my greatest treasures is to have grown up in a little town where lifelong friendships were formed and maintained.  I’m sure each of us could write pages about the memories we’ve shared.
