Biography for Bob Beadel

The last five years have been, uh, busy but successful---as of today, neither of us is in the obituaries or the jail records, so we’re ahead of the game. We sold our RV park a couple of years ago, making us and the new owners both happy. Our business partners (son Allen and his wife) were plumb ecstatic.

I reluctantly left the ranks of the unemployed and returned to law enforcement as a constable. Actually not even very reluctant---I admit I really enjoy my work, and with Brandon in college and heading to law school, the money is really handy.

We still raise and show Holland Lop rabbits, although since Brandon left we have cut way back---we’re down to probably no more than 25 rabbits. I also bowl in both state and national tournaments---the picture was snapped this year at nationals in Reno .

We still enjoy travels in our RV, most recently to Myrtle Beach , SC , home of wonderful seafood and a jillion golf courses. Can heaven be much better? Last fall found us in Virginia , spending one weekend in Williamsburg and going to church at Bruton’s Parish, the historic church where Patrick Henry made his famous speech. Beautiful church beautifully preserved, but with the authentic, uncomfortable pews there was no danger of anyone sleeping through the sermon. Working has clipped our traveling wings, but even weekend getaways are great---always some place we’d like to see.

Here’s to the continued good health and great friendship of the Class of ’57!

Bob
